Material removal processes, which include buffing,
polishing, grinding, deburring, de-flashing, sanding,
and drilling of manufactured parts, are difficult to
do manually. With ergonomic risks, consistency issues
and the high cost of materials, the flexibility that
robots offer make for a wise investment.
UTI has developed both active and passive compliance
techniques which are leveraged on our material removal
systems.
In addition to complete workcells, UTI offers the
following standard or custom peripheral process
equipment:
- Material infeed and outfeed units
- Belt sanding units
- Contact wheel units
- Compound feeders
